RAquantify
Computer Aided Diagnosis and Rheumatoid Arthritis
RAQuantify is an innovative attempt to apply state-of-the-art computer vision algorithms to the automatic quantification of rheumatoid arthritis (e.g. automatic joint space measurement). It is aimed at two main fields:

  • Clinical research on rheumathoid arthritis and multi center studies
  • Rheumatoid arthritis therapy monitoring
RAquantify is embedded in a Web service, and therefore allows shared use by several users in different geographic locations. It is under active development and processes DICOM data with minimal user input, with a current technical success rate of 93%.

In contrast to semi-automated approaches RAquantify performs the analysis fully autonomous. This has several advantages:

  • It allows for the batch processing of large amounts of DICOM files
  • It decreases the chance of reader variability, which is particularly relevant during multi center studies
RAquantify is developed as a part of the AAMIR project, at the Universities of Technology Graz and Vienna, and the Vienna Medical University.
